I am in a bit of shock that 2017 has come to an end. It only felt like yesterday that I was celebrating my 25th birthday or soaking up some sun in Ibiza back in Summer. But before we ring in a New Year, I wanted to do a quick post and talk about the resolutions I set myself back in January. I set myself some goals that I felt that I could achieve in the year and thought this would be a great chance to see where I got with each one.

LEARN TO DRIVE
This one was something I really wanted to do this year, purely on the basis that I didn't want a fear to get to me. If you've got me on social media or you read the specific blog post, you will know that I actually passed my test first time back in July, with only two minors. I was so chuffed when I got that piece of paper and since then, I actually love driving. I'm much more independent, I've gained confidence and it's allowed me to do things I wouldn't have been able to do when I wasn't able to drive, like see family. I'm so glad that I actually completed this resolution in 2017 because I really wasn't sure if I would have tapped out again.

LOSE SOME WEIGHT
In all honesty, this on been on the back burner. I wasn't doing too bad earlier this year but as the year got on, I cared less about it, ate bad things and because I was suddenly driving places and not doing much in the week, I slowly gained more weight. I do have plans to change this in 2018 though so, watch this space.

STRESS OUT LESS
I believe that I have become better with this. Although it is okay to stress out at certain situations, I don't think I do it as often, or don't find myself becoming stressed so early on. Because I have allowed myself that time out from a job and able to focus on the driving, I became more chilled out and didn't want to allow myself to get to that level of stress. Like I said, it's something I still do, just not as often. I still want to work on that in 2018 and hopefully some lifestyles changes and habits will help with that.

PUT MORE INTO BLOGGING
This one I have more definitely done. Looking throughout the year, although I've not posted as much as some people do (everyday, every other day or take part in blogtober/blogmas), I posted atleast twice a month. I started off strong with 5 posts in January and although that went down as the months went by, I still uploaded content. I posted 12 times in 2016 and seeing that I have done 32 blog posts in 2017, it may not seem a lot but that's an improvement for me. I've really enjoyed being more constant in the year and it's enabled a brand to reach out to me, something that I didn't think would really happen this year, so that's a bonus. 2018 will be a bit different but still hope that I can continue blogging as much as I can.

So I don't think that I have done too badly with my resolutions this year. The driving I am so happy that I've done and although I didn't lose the weight, that's okay, because I'm going to give it a go next year. As I said above, 2018 is going to be slightly different for me because I have a new job that I'm going to be starting on the 2nd January, whereas 2017, I didn't have one at all. I'm really excited and looking forward to working again, I think my time out has got me back to where I once was. I still want to blog where I can but it just might mean not being as regular but I don't usually stick to a schedule so that won't be too much of a worry for me.

I'm glad that 2017 is done with but super excited for 2018.

Did you manage to achieve your resolutions? Any that you missed out on?

I know that I only did a favourites post back in August but I've been enjoying new, things since then which I feel is worth mentioning in a post, even though it is only a very small amount. Some of these things definitely have come from getting into the Autumn/Winter season and others I've just really enjoyed using. So, let me get straight into it.

First things first. Something that instantly came to mind was the Herbal Essences Strawberry & Sweet Mint Shampoo and Conditioner, which is part of their bio:renew range. Let me just say that this smells incredible! Such a powerful, gorgeous fruity scent. What I like is that the shampoo is clear and really don't feel like I need much for it to get all into my hair. Although my hair is short, it's quite thick so I would usually need a good handful of shampoo but with this, I notice that I don't need as much. With the conditioner, it's pretty standard but again, it's got that powerful scent and don't need much of it to get around to cleaning all of my hair. Once my hair is all dried, it feels so soft, smooth and it doesn't seem to tangle as much, which I'm all for. I can definitely see myself using this over and over again for some time. Will be re-purchasing for sure.

Next in my favourites is this Boots Tee Tree & Witch Hazel, with active Charcoal Facial Scrub. My skin has been a teeny bit of a problem recently (don't know to put it down to hormones or the amount of rubbish I've been eating, likely to be the latter) and so I wanted to find something that was hopefully going to treat it well. I love the smell of tea tree and I've used masks/scrubs that contained Charcoal so thought maybe the two together would do my skin some good. It's a simple case of applying a small amount to a wet face and rub gently, then rinse well. I instantly feel my skin feeling smooth as the scrub has worked it's way into my pores and remove all the nasty, dead skin. It doesn't say how often you should use this but I've done it atleast twice a week and it's been helping. I've just got to keep it up. I love this scrub and likely that I would buy it again.

The last thing that I've been enjoying is the Zoella Beauty Bake My Day mini body mist. I've recently started using my Hungry Hands hand cream again and it suddenly made me want the body mist. It then dawned on me that I should have bought it last year because it won't be out this year. However, when I saw that she had released a set of mini mists which contained Bake My Day, I really wanted to get it. Although it means that it contains three others, I would have only tried one (Gelat'eau) so it means that I had a good opportunity to try the others. I really wished I had bought the bigger one last year but the mini one is ideal if you want to put it in a small bag for a night out or even in your general handbag. That aside, I really love the scent, definitely the scent for this Christmas season.

So, although small, these are my favourites of November. Is there anything that you've tried before or would want to try?

I'm pretty sure I've watched The Crystal Maze since I was a kid, wishing that I could pretend to do challenges in my house to win crystals but I couldn't ever do that. I would occasionally watch the repeats on TV and when I heard they were bringing it out for a Celeb Special for Stand Up To Cancer, I was a little bit excited. Whilst I was watching it, I was googling about the one-off show, to then realise that there was an actual Crystal Maze Experience in London that had opened earlier that year. I really wanted to go but didn't really think anyone I knew of would want to do it with me.

A few months past, the new series with celebs came on TV, followed by regular folk and I still had it in my mind that I would love to try out the experience. One day, I was hanging out with some friends, who was suggesting we all do something fun, and someone (surprisingly not me) came up with the idea of doing the Crystal Maze. I instantly put my hands up and said yes, to which most of my other friends actually followed and said they'd do it aswell. We called up three other friends to see if they wanted in and they did! That was it! We were actually going to do it! The next thing was picking a date that everyone could do. We received a text from a friend who was organising it and said that a date that had some availability was the 10th September but at 9pm, which was pretty late. But everyone was good for it so we went ahead and booked it. He also asked 'Green or Orange' as this was going to be our team colour. We ended up with Green.

The date came and I was actually excited but nervous as I didn't really know what to expect. We all headed into London a bit earlier so we looked around the Chinese Food Market that was going on near London Bridge, checked out the Science Museum and went to a Wetherspoons to get some last minute fuel. We were only round the corner from the place, which was near Angel Tube Station, and there it was, in all it's glory, THE CRYSTAL MAZE sign all lit up.

We went on it, did the waiver bit, put our things in a complimentary locker (apart from my phone as I wanted to take some snaps before going in) and headed to our green table, which had the green bomber jackets hanging underneath. Alongside our team, there were three others, blue, red and orange. We all go round at the same time but start off in different zones. A guy at the place took a few photos of us in our jackets, went through a couple of things, like the premise of the experience, health and safety etc. and when we got our little call before our start time, I put my phone back into the locker, went to the bathroom (as you don't get a chance to go once you're in) and took the jacket off, as you don't actually wear them during your time in the maze. It's literally for photos at the beginning. It 9pm and we headed into our first zone, which was the Medieval zone. We sat in a room which had a TV playing clips of TV show and all of a sudden, a guy walks in, which happens to me our Maze Master, wearing a glorious star cape. I can't remember his full name but we did call him Bert. Whilst in that room, we decided on our Team Captain (who got to wear the fab cape) and Vice Captain and I swear, all we did was constantly cheer and clap for unknown reasons. Suddenly, it was time to play! Unfortunately, I have no pictures on when we were inside as you cannot take phones in with you, so you don't ruin things for others so this next bit is going to be a bit wordy.

So yes, we started in the Medieval zone so it was a little dark but I was quite impressed with what they did with it. Our Maze Master asked the Team Captain what game we wanted and for who so one by one, we went round and did our tasks. I had a mental one and I was so close to it but just ran out of time. Yes, you do have either 2, 2 and a half or 3 minutes to complete it. Legit, the time goes by so quickly that I felt like I was hardly in the room. I was gutted but seeing as there were 8 of us and potentially going to do 16 games, I knew that I could have a second try. So after our first zone, we only won one crystal but we had many zones to go.

Climbing up some steps and crawling on a platform close to the ceiling, we reached our next zone, which was Aztec and again, I was really impressed with what they did. They have actual sand so, very realistic. We did a quick photo in the Aztec zone which we could see at the end. So, during the first game, our friend got locked in but rather than leaving you in the room like they do on TV, they take you to 'jail', where you have to answer a riddle and if you can answer the riddle before the team move onto the next zone, you can get out for free otherwise, if you don't, you have to give up one crystal. Luckily, he managed to get out during our third game in, so we didn't lose any crystals. We did better in this zone by winning two crystals, which put us up to three and we were half way round.

Third zone was the Industrial zone, which we only had to climb a few stairs to get to from Aztec, and it looked all rusty, which was similar to TV, just no water in sight. This is where I had my second game, another chance to win a crystal but sadly, I didn't do it, so I won no crystals for my team at all (bit gutted, not gonna lie). My boyfriend was doing really well in his and the crystal did actually get revealed but he had already knocked on the door to come out so he only needed a few extra seconds to have grabbed it and come out without being locked in, which was a shame but after that zone, we again managed to win another 2 crystals, which put our total up to 5.

Our last zone, which I was most intrigued to see, was the Futuristic zone. We had to climb down a ladder from Industrial and into a pod, which would see us 'travel in time' to the zone (I had a little lol). The look of the zone was pretty cool, lots of white walls and lights. I was still a bit gutted that I couldn't even redeem myself but was just looking forward to seeing what my friends could do in their games. This was our most successful zone, where we picked up 3 out of 4 crystals, which was so good. This put our total up to 8. Once we had finished all the games, it was time to head 'TO THE CRYSTAL DOMMMME'.

We got to the set of doors, and our Maze Master said to us to shout our team name (which was Team Faff because we are so awful at making decisions and actually getting things done, bit ironic when it came to actually doing the Crystal Maze but that's what made it funnier) which we did and there was the dome and the other teams waiting for us. Some funky music was playing, another Maze Master introduced his team into the Crystal Dome, where they had 35 seconds of time (one crystal less than us as 1 crystal = 5 seconds in the dome). The music was playing, we all chanted the last 5 seconds and it was their time up. A quick 35 seconds. It really made me just want to get in there but the second Maze Master introduced her team, who won 9 crystals (I think) so just slightly better than us. They did their bit and it was done. Orange team was next, who won 12, which meant they had 60 seconds in the dome. Longer than everyone else but was a quick 60 seconds. Then, it was our turn. Good ol' Bert introduced our team, told how many crystals we got and we headed on in. Hold the bars at the back, can't pick any 'tickets' from the floor. They didn't have the whole silver and gold tokens because you don't win anything at the end, so it was just gold tickets, although some of them looked like they were just ripped up, but it was just the taking part that was the fun about it. So, we would have had 40 seconds in there but it just seem to fly by but I had a right laugh in there.

Now it was time to count how many we got. They must have had a way of doing it (possibly by weight) but the results were in. Our team came 3rd out of 4, but the amounts were quite close to each other so none of us did a bad job. We all had team photos in front of the dome, in the jackets again and said our goodbyes to our Maze Master. They had a bar at the end where we all grabbed a small cup of water and headed back down so we could get our stuff. By this point it was about 10:30pm, so the whole thing lasted about an hour and half. We then also saw our photos, from the Aztec zone and the ones sat in front of the dome. We wanted to buy the ones of us sat in front of the dome but they would also upload them to their Facebook page at a lower res. My boyfriend and I bought ourselves a small crystal (and a large one too, oops) and then we headed on home. Didn't actually get home until about 1am because there were issues with the trains.

Overall, I had an absolute fantastic time and a childhood wish had actually become a reality. If you watched the show and wanted to do it, I would highly recommend going, even when I didn't win a single crystal. They also have one in Manchester but I can't say for certain if anything I've said above is the same for that location. Seriously, if you and your friends want to do a fun activity, this is definitely the thing to do.

Have you been to the Crystal Maze Experience? How did you find your experience?

This blog post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own and honest!

I've not done a favourites post since October last year and the reason is because I either don't manage to get a post up in time or because I don't have things to talk about. BUT, I've managed to get ahead of myself this time and I have myself products to talk about before it's too far into the next month. Although it's not many things, I'm doing a post of them anyway.

So, this month my skin has been a little outrageous, where in the middle of the month, I broke out and me being me, picked some of the spots, which then turn into nasty scabs (naughty!) It wasn't cute at all! So I gave myself a little smack on the hand and went to seek what could help my skin recover. I actually purchased this a little while ago based on some other bloggers talking about it but used it only a few times then just put it away with the rest of my skincare things and it got a little lost. I picked this little beauty up and it's helped massively. This is the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil. It contains lots of different oils, including reship and sweet almond oil, which smells really good and kind of helped with my sinuses a little. It only took about 2 days for the worse to go and then when I remembered to put it on at night before I go to bed, it looked so different in the morning that I could tell it did something in the night. I think you could use any kind of skin therapy oil if you need to help with some break outs but this is just the one I grabbed to see what it would do. There's probably better products out there that could have done the job but this worked for me. Definite miracle worker. Thanks Palmers!

Moving on to my next favourite. Something that I have mentioned in a favourites before (I've only done two so probably not hard to find) but I've been loving again is Green/Fruit tea. I've not had this for a long time and when I started drinking it again, I wondered why I even let myself stop. A flavour that I love in particular is the Apple and Pear one from Twinings. It's my absolute favourite one to drink and I've also been having Mango and Strawberry, which is also enjoyable to drink. I'm glad I've brought this back into my life and want to start exploring lots of new flavours in the near future so you may see another feature of Green/Fruit tea in another favourites post (if I get round to doing another one).

Onto the smelly items of my August favourites. I've been looooooving the Imperial Leather Cherry Bakewell shower cream. The smell is just... lush. This is probably the only shower gel I've used this month and already got through a bottle of it. When you lather and massage it onto the skin (which, might I add is suitable for all skin types), it foams up, which is super soft on the skin and leaves it smelling sweet. Luckily, not too overpowering that somebody may want to eat you. It's probably a smell that you either like or don't like but I definitely do.

My last favourite of the month is the Palmer's Moisture Rich Shampoo and Restoring Conditioner. Like other Palmers products, it contains it contains their coco butter formula, with added Vitamin E. Alongside this, they both contain peppermint oil which, for the shampoo, refreshes and stimulates your scalp and with the conditioner, it nourishes scalp and hair. So these two together will provide healthy hair growth and leaves your hair silky soft, which sounds like a great combo. I personally think it smells good although my boyfriend has stated a few times that my hair smells like vomit (thanks dear) and I have no idea why. Again, it's something I've used pretty much all throughout August and just about to run out now so I'm either going to buy more or maybe see what else is new on the market.

So that's my favourites for the past month. Is there anything we've both enjoyed? Or anything you recommend I use in future months?

This blog post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own and honest!

Almost a month ago, I passed my driving test! It's been something that I've been holding back for a good 4 years now and having finally done it, I'm so happy with myself. But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows leading up to it. Time for a rambly post.

I set this up as a goal for 2017, as I was going to turn 25 and still hadn't even done something I could have done at 17, which was 8 years ago (ew)! So in January, I found a local driving instructor who was available to start lessons in February, which was fine as it meant I could mentally prepare myself for this (I've written a post already on my background with driving) and hopefully not get overwhelmed again.

So, the lessons started, going to quiet residential areas in my town, just to get me comfortable and used to driving a car again. Everything went fine, for someone who hadn't been behind the wheel of a car for almost 2 years. We did that for about 3 lessons and then ventured out into town, which mean it was getting used to being in traffic, stopping at lights, being cautious of people who would walk out into the road and again, everything seemed liked it was actually going okay for me. Soon enough my birthday came round and I said to my instructor that I wanted to start doing 2 hour lessons (suddenly 25 year old self became brave and going outside my comfort zone) which would allow me more learning time and be able to drive further and do a lot more. 2 hours was a long time but I'm glad I added them in when I did.

By mid April and having atleast 10 hours under my belt, it was time to book my theory test, but the earliest slots they had were at the beginning of May, so I had a month of learning the theory side of things, all the possible questions I could be asked and practicing some hazard perception tests, whilst still learning to drive alongside this. But, when the time came, I managed to ace it, getting 49 out of 50 on my multiple choice (you need 43 to pass) and got 57 out of 75 for the hazard perception (you need 44 to pass). So that was one big hurdle out of the way, next it was time to book the practical test. I wanted to book it straight away, so that I could work towards a date and should I not feel ready closer to the time, atleast I could re-schedule it. I found my date, 12th July at 11:01am (bit of a random time but there you go), which gave me 10 weeks to knuckle everything down.

So, lesson by lesson, I just kept taking everything in and trying not to think about this lurking date. Even though I was so far in and I was so close to the end,  I always felt so nervous before each lesson, probably because I didn't know what might happen, as driving is a big ol' learning curve. I did do little things wrong (stalled it every now and then, didn't do a good parking job, that kinda thing) but I just wanted to get past that and keep focusing on that date.

The week before my test, right at the end of my lesson, I had a bit of a breakdown and I bloody cried, in front on my instructor. I personally felt that the lesson didn't go that amazing, in comparison to my others and just worried that I was going to mess it up. My instructor (bless him) just told me that if I fail my test, I just got to get past that and I can do it again. He was right but I just felt so bummed out the rest of the day but it made me so nervous for my test, to the point where I was just feeling sick thinking about it. I managed to squeeze in a lesson the day before my test and thankfully, went much better, so atleast it set me up for a better test day (I hoped anyway).

The day came round and I felt so sick, nervous, all the feelings I could feel. We timed it so I could atleast do about an hour and a half lesson before my test but it was so busy (typical) getting into the town where I was taking my test. I managed to do a few manoeuvres, go through some show me, tell me questions but that was it, time to head to the test centre.

I needed to pee before my test but once I sat down, forgetting to breathe, it just suddenly kicked in where I was. OMG, my nervessss. Eventually, the man came out and called my name. This was it! We did the reading a number plate from so far away, did the show me tell me questions (learning all of those was ridiculous only to be asked two) and I was ready to go. I was leaving the test centre, with a bunch of other learners on their test. To get out, it was a driveway on a slight hill and because we all left at the same time, it started to queue. I tried to be all smart and do clutch control rather than me doing handbrake on and off but unfortunately, I stalled it. MINOR FOR ME within the first minute of my test (doh!). But, what can you do about that?

Everything seemed to be going okay, the town was fairly quiet at that time, was checking my mirrors quite a lot, keeping to my speed limits and then the examiner asks me to pull over, as it was time for my chosen manoeuvre. It was left corner reverse, which I was actually okay with doing. If I had been asked to reverse around a parked car (parallel park) I would have probably just cried and said 'just fail me now'. I managed to do it, bit wide but I corrected myself and I was in. I did my independent driving for about 5 minutes, which was fine because I knew the town quite well and had many lessons there so my knowledge was fairly good. Eventually, my 40 minutes was up and before I knew it, I was back at the test centre. I pulled up, where my instructor was waiting for me and the result.

I PASSED! I ACTUALLY BLOODY PASSED! I did a little cheer of joy then just went straight into crying (hahah) but I was so happy that I actually did it, with only two minors (the stall at the start and the control of my left corner reverse, mainly because of how wide I went round the bend)! I was over the moon and couldn't wait to share my news.

I get home and immediately wanted to call my boyfriend, who would have been at work at the time but gave him a rough time when I'd be back, so he knew to be ready. So, I call him, tell him the good news and he just hangs up the phone! I was actually a little bit pissed off, tried calling back and it would just ring, with no answer. About 2 minutes after my initial phone call, there is a little knock at the door and it's him! He actually booked days off work so that if I did pass, we would be able to look for a car. If I didn't pass, well he would be there to comfort me I guess. He got me a card and some chocolate and I was in more shock that he did that I had no clue (I'm normally quite good at finding things out). Later that day, one of my friends came round and gave me flowers (bless her) as a well done for passing. Soon enough, the day was over and I still couldn't quite comprehend that I had actually passed my test earlier in the day.

A few days later, I found myself a car, a little grey Polo, which hasn't been named (yet). I absolutely love my car! I've been out so much since I've got it although, it has rained so much during my drives to places. IT'S SUMMERTIME, WHAT IS THIS? I only had about 2/3 lessons where it rained but now it feels like I'm driving in it all the time. But, it's just such a great feeling to be behind the wheel of my own car, feeling confident, finally!

For someone who was scared of doing it, actually feared being a passenger at one point, to going through 32.5 hours of driving, a few tears and coming out of it the other side passing first time, I'm honestly so proud of myself. I never thought that I would have actually done it. I really thought that my fears would have got the better of me, again, and would be wasting another year not doing it.

This seems to have gone on quite a bit, but I'm hoping that if you're reading this because you're a little scared about driving/taking your test and seeing what I've gone through is giving you a bit of hope, then I'm glad I've been able to do that through this post. If you're reading it because you're just generally interested, thank you for making it to the end, as it's very long.

Don't let your fears get to you and take over any progress you want to make in your life. I wish that I was able to do that when I first tried getting into it after my accident but it's only now that I've learnt that, 4 years later. If you want to take your driving test but you're scared, just go for it. Try and get some practice in if you've not driven for a while and even if you fail, you can try it again, atleast you'll know what to expect if you have to do it a second time round. You can do it!

Have you been through something similar? Do you have a fear of driving? Hit me up in the comments.

So back in January, I wrote a post about my New Years Resolutions, something that I don't usually set but was determined to actually make some changes in my life as the previous year was a bit shitty. We've now finished June so we're now over half way to the end of 2017 already! That's come round so quickly but I thought it would be good for me to do an update on my New Years Resolutions and see where I'm at with each one.

LEARN TO DRIVE
This was a big one for me. Back in January, I hadn't started my lessons yet but was so eager to get driving done, because I was 24 and still relying on public transport, walking and getting lifts to get to places and it's not something that I wanted to keep doing. So in February, I started my lessons again, having 1 a week, an hour at a time. Then after my birthday back in March, I decided that I was going to start doing 2 hours, because that was going to allow me to do more driving and go further than my town. I've been having those since, passed my theory early May and now, my test is booked for July! So, I am thinking that I'm going to accomplish this resolution, even if I fail first time, as will have a few months left. I'm really proud of myself for getting this far, as I was so worried and had it set in my head that I was only going to have a small handful of lessons and still not be confident enough to do it. Go me!

LOSE SOME WEIGHT
This one has definitely taken a slight back burner. Since January, I've put on a few pounds, which isn't what I want but I'm hoping that if I do pass my test and get myself a car, I can go to the gym more often as I'll be able to get there (as the nearest one is about a 30 minute walk). I have been introducing eating healthier things and trying to go for more walks, which is better than nothing but it's obviously not quite enough. So, still have plenty of time left. I might not be able to lose the amount I want but if I can lose some, that'll still be good for me.

STRESS OUT LESS
I think that I haven't stressed out as much over little things, which is good but it's not quite left me yet. As mentioned above, I've been going out on walks and on a few occasions, I've done that when I'm a bit overwhelmed with something and just need some time to chill, which has helped. I just need to keep finding ways for me to stay calm in situations but luckily, it's definitely not been as bad as it has been before.

PUT MORE INTO BLOGGING
I feel I've definitely done this. Even in January, I put out 5 blog posts, which is almost half of what I did in the whole of 2016. As months have gone on, I've not posted as many as that but I have posted every month, my least being 3 in a month, it's significantly better than before. I want to keep going with this and seek opportunities to attend some blogging events, so that I can meet some other people.

It seems as though that my resolutions are going pretty well so far, especially the driving one, which was the one I wanted to achieve the most. I think I'm on a good path to completing all of them and look forward to what I have to write come December.

How are you resolutions going 6 months on? Any you've already complete?

I'm a bit late with this one but how has March been and gone already? We're already halfway through April too so the next post will have to go out soon! Anyway, now that I've received the Look Fantastic March Beauty Box, I've now reached my first quarter of the boxes and so far, so good. They've all been really interesting, with many products that I've been interested in trying, and this box is no exception.

Once again, there is a different colour scheme with this, with a nice sleek black box with bright pink tissue paper. I love the fact that they do change it up on a monthly basis, because it gives the element of surprise, even when it's just the box, so you are left wondering what the next box will look like.

Out of all of the products, I've only heard of two, Starskin and St. Tropez. I've actually wanted to buy something from Starskin but haven't really got round to it, so this is a good way for me to get introduced to their products and see if I actually do like them (which I'm sure I will). With St. Tropez, I've seen it in most drugstores but never really had much of an urge to go and buy something myself. Aside from them, lets have a look at everything in the March Beauty Box.

As mentioned above, I've seen this brand about in many places. I actually bought a self-tan foam  ages ago which I think I used once (literally a slither on my leg), didn't use again and when I found it amongst the rest of my bath and beauty stuff, it was blue(?) I'm assuming that's just what it does over time, but didn't think it would be blue, haha. Because I'm quite pale, I've always been put off using self-tanning products, just because I'm not sure if I'd look any good with a tan. But seeing as this is a gloss and in a small amount, it may work better for me but I'm not sure what is good and bad in terms of tan so really, it's just going to be down to personal preference. This is only a 30ml tube but a 100ml can cost around £12 so this is a good tester for me, as I wouldn't want to spend that much on something and use it once and waste it like the other one.

Next product is from the Skin Chemists. It's the Aqua Repair Facial Serum. I've not heard of this brand but I'm always pretty keen on finding new skincare products. My skin does have it's moments of being a right pain in the butt and have recently found products that have made it so good but you can never have too many products in your skincare routine. Being small in size, this will be handy if you wanted to take it with you on holiday. Looking on their site, it's main active ingredients are Rose Water, to calm and soothe the skin; Allantoin, which aims to moisturise and soothe, due to it's healing and anti-inflammatory properties and finally, Aloe Vera, which stimulates the healing process of the skin. Going by that it's £29 for the 30ml tube, it must be pretty good, so definitely going to be reaching for this one when my face is due for a deep cleanse.

For beauty, we have the Pür Disappearing Act Concealer. I've only ever bought drug store concealers so I don't know what it's like to get something high end. For this small pot, it's $24 (about £19) which is quite expensive, but I'd like to think that it's going to hide my dark circles and blemishes really well. Not only will it make me look awake and blemish-free, it contains natural ingredients in the formula, which will actually care for your skin. Although it's a thick-creamy consistency, it glides and thins out nicely on the skin, so there won't be any massive build up where you've applied it. The company don't test their products on animals, which is really good.

Fourth in the line up is the Caudalie VineActiv 3-in-1 Moisturiser. Like I've said before, I'm always up for trying new skincare products, especially when it comes to moisturisers. I've always found cream moisturisers don't work with me as much as a gel, purely because it's more oily. Luckily, I don't suffer with mega dry skin so I don't have to use too much but I don't like the oily feeling when I do use it. Not all of them have the same outcome, which is why I'm keen to try different things, to see what works and what doesn't. All of the ingredients, such as Vitamin C and E and Hyaluronic Acid) combined will work together to give you brighter, healthier-looking skin. A 40ml tube is being sold for £32, another pricey product but it's great that these sorts of products are a part of these boxes.

I wasn't really sure what this was on first appearance but reading into it further, it's self-heating hair mask from Redken, called heatcure. It delivers deep conditioning to restore your hair's look and feel, so you can go back to being your sassy self ;) It contains argon oil and soy protein, amongst other beneficial ingredients and it's a simple process. You just need to peel the seal, which will then start the self-heating (so clever). After leaving that to heat for 3-4 minutes, you tear of the top of the sachet, squeeze and apply the product to your hand, which you'll then want to evenly distribute on your hair. Just leave it for 5-10 minutes, wash it away and you're done. These are about £30 for a pack of 4 so they are quite a pricey product but can't say no to trying this out.

Last but not least, is the Starskin Eye Catcher Smoothing Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Eye Masks. As mentioned above, I have heard this brand through other bloggers. I saw people hyping up their face masks but didn't know they did eye masks. These have been designed to reduce puffiness and visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark circles, which is pretty standard. Ingredients include vitamin rich coconut juice, liquorice root extract, blueberry extract and broccoli extract (yes broccoli). All of these, alongside everything else that's been packed in, will give you hydration and make the eye area appear brighter and radiant, all within 15 minutes. To be honest, I've never used eye masks before so I'm really keen to use this during a pamper session one night. On Beauty Bay, two of these will cost £8.50, which isn't too bad but there may be cheaper alternatives out there.

So that is everything in the March Look Fantastic Beauty Box. Again, there isn't anything that I'm disappointed with, so another thumbs up from me. I'm not sure how many of these I'll do, because I'm worried that I'm repeating myself too much but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Have you tried any of these products?

Look after yourself,

This blog post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own and honest!

Another month has passed. I cannot believe that we're finished with February already. It'll be Christmas in no time! But, what it does mean is that I've received another Look Fantastic Beauty Box. I really liked the contents of the January box, so I was so excited to see what will be in the February box. I hope I have this feeling every month!

Instantly, I see that the box colour and theme is different to last months, which is a nice touch. Included is the February edition of ELLE magazine, alongside their own one, just like January. What else is different? The products! Let's get into the February Look Fantastic Beauty Box.
