So this has been a long anticipated review because it feels like I've been waiting ages to receive these but I finally have my hands on a Kylie Cosmetics product, more importantly, the Kim Kardashian West collab. I'm not really sure why I got these. I've never really had the urge to buy anything before from Kylie Cosmetics (apart from the Valentine's collection which I missed out on) but I was kind of intrigued to see what the hype is all about. It's a shame that I won't be able to compare this with any other Kylie Cosmetic product, as this is my first, but I'm sure there are people out there where this is their first product too. So, let's get cracking on the review.


When I got this out of the box, I was really taken by the packaging. The matte baby pink box is so beautiful and it's co-ordinated nicely with the nude pink lettering and the nude liquid lipsticks, so that's already a thumbs up on that. I like the design of this, where you have sleeve and a box containing the liquid lipsticks, rather than having them in separate thin, tube-like boxes. Again, the baby pink theme continues inside the box and on the the detailing on the lipsticks, alongside the tubes with a frosty glass look. Although I'm pretty sure the one of the left, it's lid is a slightly darker pink than the rest (not sure if anyone else has that too) so it's a shame that there isn't consistency. Although you can notice it more in the photo, you'd have to really stare at it when you're actually holding it and looking to see that difference in colour. Apart from that minor gripe, everything else is looking good so far. On the back, you just have the information on the names of the lipsticks plus it's ingredients.



As for the price, these were going for $45, which is roughly £34/£35 (works out to about £8 per lipstick) which is slightly above drug store prices but pretty good as a high ended brand. The unfortunate thing was that, being in the UK, I had to pay nearly $15 (approx. £11) for the shipping and then about the same for the customs, so I almost paid the same amount for shipping and customs as the product alone, which was a bit of a sting to the bank balance.

So overall, I really liked the packaging and the lipsticks themselves (although they could be some really small improvements) but the only thing I was bummed about was purely just the price for it, but that's the price I pay I guess for living in the UK :( Would I buy something from Kylie Cosmetics again? Maybe. It would depend on what the product is, colours, price etc. but I'm not going to rush and get myself a lip kit anytime soon. If you are a massive lover of nude shades then yeah, go for it.

I went into Primark recently to have a look around, especially now that their summer stuff is out but something that caught my eye was the Pure Glow Highlighting Palette. I have a small amount of highlighters and because I wanted to grow my collection, I thought this would be a perfect one, on the basis that it's good. And it includes 4 different shades so, why not?


Let's start off with the packaging. It's covered with a marble print and rose gold letter detailing. That's already a winner. It has a magnet within the packaging on the lid so that it can close nice and tight. When you lift up the lid, there are the highlighters in all their glory with more rose gold packaging. It's just so dreamy to look at.


Moving onto the highlighters themselves. In the palette, starting with the top row, there is a light, pearly white shade called Desert and a shimmery, golden sandy colour called Glimmer. On the bottom row, there is this beautiful peachy matte shade called Eden and lastly, there is Firefly, a shimmery light brown/gold colour. Looking at them, Glimmer and Firefly are very similar to look at but you can see that there is a slight difference in the shades when you see them in a good light. Overall, they are some really nice colours. So far, so good!


Now for the exciting part, and the bit you are probably looking forward to the most, the swatches! Not going to lie, but I was so impressed with the pigmentation of these. Just, look at that shine! Although these are a powder formula, they are surprisingly soft to touch and don't crumble or anything. They glide onto the finger and skin so smoothly and you don't even have to press hard to get product. The lightest touch gives you plenty of highlighter.


Obviously, once you've blended them out, they aren't going to be that striking and bright but even when they have been blended, they are still pretty pigmented, especially Glimmer and Firefly.

Overall, this palette is simply amazing for £5 (yes, you read that right). The range of colours are so pigmented, the packaging is gorgeous and it's a bargain highlighter palette. I personally don't think I'd be able to use Glimmer or Firefly much as a highlighter but I'm sure I'd be able to find other uses for it (maybe eyeshadow?). I'm really happy that Primark have got a whole beauty range because you can find some great things so don't skip it if you go to a store. Well done Primark.

A few weeks ago, Barry M released a lip kit, something that many companies have been doing as it's a product that has grown in popularity recently. I was a massive fan of Barry M when I was younger, and even now, I have an extensive collection of their nail varnishes. When I was in Superdrug one day, I happened to see that they released a lip kit. I've been on the hunt for a drugstore lip kit for a while, as I don't think I can justify buying a Kylie one due to price and customs fees, so I was very happy to see one available. I've been trying to get the Makeup Revolution lip kits for a while, but they've constantly been out of stock everytime I went into a Superdrug.

I saw that Barry M had three colours to choose from: Pose, which is light pink, Go To which is a nude and Runway, which is a berry colour. I was instantly drawn to Runway and after doing the swatch, I knew it was the one for me. This kit, which includes a 'lip paint' and matching liner, was priced at £6.99, which is an absolute bargain. The packaging is reletively simple. The box is the same colour as the lip paint and liner, and has the usual information on the back. But, let's get to the important bit, how it applies.


I didn't own any lip pencils prior to this Barry M purchase, they're just not something I would use; however, as I've read more and more posts of people talking about the pros of lip liners, I became increasingly interested each time. I kept seeing lip kits whenever I would go shopping, and I thought they would be the perfect product to get me into lip liners. When I applied this the first time, it glided and applied so nicely. I would have assumed it would be a bit chalky or would drag but this wasn't the case.


Moving onto the lipstick. At first, the lip paint colour appears to be a little lighter when you first apply it however, once it's completely dry, it becomes darker, more like the lip liner colour. It applied with such ease and the product is quite thin, which is actually a good thing. It drys quickly, still has a good amount of colour and feels light and comfortable once it's dry on the lips. No heavy, cracked feelings over here! Obviously, with most liquid lipsticks, they aren't going to last you forever and you find yourself having to top it up once in a while during your day (or night) and this is no exception. Although it did stick around for a little while, once I had a tea, it did start to wear off a bit, mainly in the centre and corners of my lips, so I wasn't surprised to see that happen.


Overall, I am extremely happy with this product and I'm so glad that I found it. It's such a good dupe to higher priced lip kits, such as Kylie Cosmetics, for a much cheaper price. Although I probably won't go out an buy the other two lip kits, because I don't think the colours will suit me, Barry M do have singles of other colours, so I'm probably going to have a snoop at those some point in the future. Well done Barry M, you've succeeded in producing a good liquid lipstick.

A while ago I bought myself some more ColourPop, because I simply loved it the first time round. This time however, I got eyeshadows as well as lipsticks, because I had seen other people's reviews/posts on them and the shades looked stunning. So I wanted to share what I bought, just incase you were curious on some of the lipsticks or shadows and their colours.


Although I've done a review on the Matte lipsticks previously, I have now got some which are different formulas. Alongside the 1 Matte finish, I got 1 Satin, 1 Glossy and 1 Metallic. I wanted to mix things up a little bit and see if some of the different formulas worked better than the Matte lipsticks.

I know I'm a little late to the party on this one, but I finally managed to get my hands on the 'Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette'. It was re-released back in December and I was so eager to get my hands on one after so many people praised the product. It took a little while to get to me (due to popularity/high demand) but it finally arrived so I just wanted to do a quick review and swatches, even though you've probably seen a million posts on this. Ah, well.


First things first, the packaging is simply gorgeous. Coming in a cute cardboard box, the palette itself is in a tin case, with a magnetic closure, which can also easily be opened. It reminds me of the old tin pencil cases you'd have in school, obviously a lot prettier and less full of pens and pencils. The colour gradient is so satisfying to the eyes, with cute embossed peaches all over the lid. It comes with a fairly decent sized mirror so you should be able to take this with you if you were travelling. It's when you open it, is when it becomes magical.


Not only are you faced with a mixture of 18 shades, you're hit with the sweet smell of peach. They weren't lying when they said it smelt like peaches. I just want to sit and smell it all day! It's got a great combination of colours, from the peachy ones, to the bright, light ones, (great for the brow bone and inner corner) and the brown ones, which will give you a great smokey eye look. Although not really peachy related, you have got a deep purple and dark blue/purple as part of the colour range too but it's good to mix it up a little. They are all different finishes too so you can for sure make many makeup looks with this palette.


At £39/$49, I can understand that people wouldn't want to spend this much on a palette, but to me, it was worth the money, as this such a gorgeous addition to my collection and can't wait to use it fully.

I've only been looking into Morphe recently, as I've been on the hunt for some good brands from overseas, to expand my collection and try new things. After seeing Manny, Nikkie and Bretman Rock mention this brand on their Snapchats and talking about how a popular palette has come back into stock, I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I originally was looking at the 35O palette and really like the shades it offered, but didn't buy it at the time. A few weeks later, they started talking about the 35F being available, saying to 'get it while you can' so again, it must have been another popular palette from Morphe. So I decided to have a look to see what this palette was all about and low and behold, there were some of the most nicest, shimmeriest (not that is even a word), prettiest colours I had seen in a palette in a long time and I wasn't going to hold back this time, so I bought it. Although the palette itself was only $22.99 (which works out to about £16/£17, which is so good!), the biggest thing for me was that I had to basically pay the same price of the palette for the shipping, which kind of sucked, but the fact that a real nice palette and shipping cost me about £30 all together, from the USA, it's not all that bad. I had to wait a little while for it to turn up but I wasn't in an absolute rush to get it. After waiting very patiently, I got it, in my hands. I couldn't wait to open it and see it with my own eyes.






























The mixture of finishes and colours really compliment each other as you have an endless amount of combinations that you can use for plenty of occasions. I've honestly never been so in love with an eyeshadow palette. The colours are so lovely and pigmented and still blend so nicely. My favourites ones are probably the 3rd and 4th row, as the colours are gorgeous but it's good that they've added the lighter ones, incase you don't feel too daring with your makeup.

Was it worth the price and the wait? Absolutely, yes! I have no flaws with the product or have any regrets buying it. I'm honestly gutted that more brands haven't got a presence in the UK because they could make a killing, although they probably choose the current method of you buying it online because they make a heap of money on shipping it, but I still think it could fit into the UK market perfectly. I'm so glad that I have found the Morphe brand and will definitely be looking into purchasing some more of their palettes in the near future. A very well put together brand, great quality at an affordable price.

One of my work colleagues has a good eye for makeup and recently mentioned to me about ColourPop, a US based brand that are cruelty-free, who sell some really good looking products. During my lunch break, I had a look on their site and was just in awe of their Ultra Matte Lips range. They have such beautiful colours, ranging from the bolds, the brights, the nudes and the dark shades and really wanted to get some, but they don't actually sell to the UK. It's a shame because I think that the brand would fit in so well into the UK and could potentially become really popular over here, as they are quite a unique, alternative brand. Before placing an order (the others wanted some too), she bought in the ones she owns and all of us did a quick little swatch on our hands and they were just perfect and beautiful and it really helped me decide on the kinds of shades that I wanted.

After waiting for so long, THEY FINALLY ARRIVED and the first thing I did was do some swatches, to see if I was happy in what I chose, as you tend to find that the colours on the website look so different when you actually have the product in your hands but I think I had made some really good choices.


First up, Are & Be:


This was probably the riskiest one for me, as I felt like it could really drain me out, make me paler than I already am. When I saw it in the tube, it was lighter than I though, thinking that it was actually going to look alright on me, but then it definitely came out darker than it looked in the tube. It's slightly more purple than I had imagined and looking back on it, it was a risky one but if I team it up with the right makeup everywhere else, it could work. I'm just not used to having dark lips like that but hey, I'm still really happy with the product. It applies really easily and nicely although I think I may invest in a lip liner for this colour, or get a real thin brush to apply this, just to be really precise and neat. I would give this a 7/10, purely because it came out a lot darker than I thought.

Next up, Clueless:


I really like this shade. It's definitely how I thought it was going to look, but again, was a smidge darker on skin than was in the tube but that's just something that happens I guess. It's a really nice pinky, nude shade, which could go well with either a soft or bold eye. This one has a real nice soft touch to it when it has dried, which I hope is a good indication that it's not going to go really dry and crack after a short period of time. I'm going to give Clueless an 8/10.

Third up, Lumière 2:




Lumière 2 was the one that all of us picked, so was obviously going to be a clear winner. Upon swatching it, it came out slightly darker than Clueless, but appears more purple toned, so again, was a bit more darker than I had originally anticipated but that doesn't matter, as I'm willing to try and get into more of the darker, daring shades, as I don't do it enough. The more I do it, the more I don't freak myself out in a mirror. Like with the others, it applies really nicely and dries really well and as long as it does that, then it's serving it's purpose. I would give this one an 8/10.

Last but not least, Scrooge:




This is probably my favourite shade of them all. The colour is so beautiful and bold. I think the formula for Scrooge is slightly different to the others, feeling a little more thinner (which could be down to the pigment of colour they've had to add) but that's not really a problem for me, as it still goes onto my lips so well and still dries matte like it should. After a while, I honestly didn't feel like I even have any lipstick on because it was so lightweight and wasn't drying out my lips at all. I've even been drinking tea whilst having it on and although it was leaving a bit of a pinky/red lip mark on the mug, the product didn't even budge. I'll give Scrooge a 9/10.

Overall, I'm really happy that I've been introduced to this brand as it's quite hard to find one who can sell a good, quality product and it be within a low budget. I mean $6 for 1 (which would be about £4 - £4.50 in the UK), is pretty darn good in my option. I'm quite interested in buying some of their Super Shock Shadows and Blushes, but would easily buy more of their Matte Lips again.

I've been told about (and also read) that there are some companies who can deliver products to the UK even when they only ship to USA (or other specific countries that you don't live in). What they do is that when you sign up, you are given a US address (which is in their warehouse or something), you buy the products you want, selecting the US address as your delivery address and once they've received it, you can then tell them where to deliver it and you pay the postage, which I think is genius. It means that we aren't missing out on some good products but hopefully, it'll encourage the companies to allow shipping to your country if they hear some really good feedback on what you've bought. This is probably what I will do if I want to buy their Shadows or Blushes or more of the Matte Lips.
